Submissions are currently closed for our second issue. Please direct all submissions to lankereview@gmail.com. We accept submissions from writers and artists of all ages and backgrounds, and do our best to respond within 1-3 weeks. After a month, you may resend your submission if you have not received a response.

We require poetry and prose to be attached as PDF or Word documents and all visual submissions attached as JPEG or PNG files. You may submit across multiple genres. We accept previously published work as permissible by the original publication, but please provide us with details.We encourage simultaneous submissions. However, please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere. Please title the subject of your email as “Full Name – Genre(s)” (ex. John Smith – Short Story). In the body of the email, please include a biography in third person of no more than 100 words. 

 

Racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, ableism, and all other -isms and -phobias will result in your email being deleted. We ask that you provide content warnings (CWs) with everything you submit when applicable.

Upon acceptance, you agree to grant us North American electronic rights (if not previously published). Following publication, all rights return back to the writer/artists.

Prose& Poetry

Prose: we accept 1-3 works of prose of no more than 3000 words each. 

Poetry: we accept no more than 3 poems. Poems cannot exceed more than 1000 words in total.

Format: Please double-space works of prose in a Serif font. Formatting for poetry may vary, but Serif font is still required.

Translations

If your work is in another language and you still want to submit, please let us know and we will find a possible translator for your work. Translations of other creators' work without their permission is not accepted.

Art

We accept 1-4 pieces of all mediums of artwork including paintings, drawings, photography, digital art, mixed media, ceramics, etc. You may provide an artist’s statement to describe the artwork on a separate PDF or Word document. It should be no more than 200 words.
